Does this sound like Paypal fraud or just a mistake?

I just sold an item for $559 on E-bay. The confirmed address number is 2323 Main Street (for example), but the buyer tells me that the address is wrong and it should be 2324 Main St. He wants me to ship to 2324. He has no E-Bay feedback and is new to Paypal.

  1. It sounds like fraud to me concedering he doesnt have any feedback

  2. Maybe he DID type the wrong address in. It's easy enough to fix, but you never know. Besides, if he was trying to get you to send to a different address, then why would it only be one door down? Also, it probably doesn't matter where the package is sent, as long as you get the money through Paypal. Where it ends up is not your problem if you do as he says. I've bought stuff and have had to send it to my brother or mom, so I either add a new address to send to them, or I just ask the person to send it there. No big deal if they get their money.

  3. If you send it to the address on his eBay account, eBay will back you up in any dispute. If you send it anywhere else, good luck.

  4. He should be able to correct his address with paypal.  for something that expensive, I wouldn't take a chance.
