Does this sound like TMJ or something else?

I was diagnosed with TMJ at a early age. Iam now 29.I have severe pain right in front of my right ear. I felt around and there was a lump there. I put a hot water bottle on there and that seemed to help.Whenever I open my mouth/jaw...the lump disappear's. When I close my mouth/jaw you can feel it again? It's really wierd? Could this be TMJ related like I have dislocated my jaw or something else? Please any answer's are appreciated! God Bless.
