Does this sound like a good Idea?

Question

To go to college for 4 years then join the Navy for 5-6 years and then attend grad school?

Is that 5-6 years in the Navy to long if I want to get into grad school?

P.S. I plan to major in Zoology and then get a masters or P.h.D in Marine Biology.

You and a hundred million other kids want to get into a marine biology program.  You might consider a backup.  Not many job openings in the WORLD for this degree.

if you go to college for 4 yeas you're better off being an officer in the navy.

Seems fine to me though.. although id go 4 yrs instead
