Do you want to get out for a night? Or do you work allot and need an affordable baby sitter until school starts? or perhaps you need a mothers helper. Well if you answered yes to these questions then I'm your guy! My names Eric and I'm ready to help you out. I'm 15 years old and I'm looking to make a little extra money for the end of the summer. I'm available at absolutely anytime. I wanna make at least $5 an hour though. But we can work that out. I can babysit kids 3 and older. I'm great with them. I can be like an older brotherly figure to them! I could also provide references. I babysit my brother all the time.I have fun activities to do with your kids. Such as, if you have boys, I have some fun video games to play with them, or we could play catch. Stuff like that! Most of the posts online about guy babysitters say that young boys that need babysitters like having older guy babysitters because they can connect to them and that they're more fun.

  1. wow, the message isnt very professional and sounds very kid-like. I wouldn't hire him.

  2. Ummmmmm..... no..... maybe later..........................

Is that even a question?..... geez... just go ask your relatives or something.....

  3. Ok, I wrote a huge long thing thinking you were the babysitter...but since you arent...

If you are asking if he sounds like a good sitter....you are considering him.  If you are considering him...call him up and make a play date where he hangs out with you and your children for a few hours.  Go to a park or some mutual place and just get a feel for him.  Afterwards, ask your children if they like him or not.  If they say no...then the answer is no.  Kids have an instinct about these things (just make sure they really mean "no, i dont like him" as opposed to "no, I dont want a babysitter', which most parents realize are two different questions.

Whatever you do...do NOT trust the yahoo answers answerers to tell you whether or not the kid is a good sitter.  We have no idea.  We cant even see what you are seeing.  Is it an ad on a telephone poll?  A flyer at a community board?  Is his handwriting good at least?

Anyway...have a phone interview where you ask all the important...what are your values...how would you handle...type of questions.  IF that goes well, make a date at the nearest park WITH your children.  IF that goes well...he's probably ok.

The bottom line here...you arent hiring him to teach your kids grammer, or the best way to put an ad out.  Maybe its a good thing it sounds exactly like a 15 year old wrote it.  It shows he is vested and interested and it DOESNT sound like his mom, or someone on the yahoo answers site wrote it for him.

    Good Luck!

  4. :| clearly has no maturity by the way he has presented himself in his request.. if u trusted him would u really be asking people on here.. i'd look for someone older, but, if you like the idea, meet up with him, spend some time with him and ur children to see what he's like. good luck :)

  5. I dont trust any 15 year old with internet

  6. First, no one is going to read all that as the initial point of contact.  Second, your grammatical errors are going to turn off a huge majority of your audience.  Next is your age.  You are very young.  You will find some families that will go with you, but you are not going to make that kind of money.  In the real world, people only choose teens that young as sitters for a couple reasons...   They know you very very very well or they cant afford anyone else.
