  1. Wait until the end of the week.  If it is a new store opening up a lot would have to depend on when the store is going to open and how quickly the hiring manager decides to contact new potential employees.  Unfortunately, you will have to play the waiting game for a little bit until someone actually decides they want to set up an interview with you.  In my opinion I think the downside of having to wait around is that sometimes potential employers don't even give you any type of notice or call that you haven't been considered.

I'd say just wait it out until the end of the week or Monday morning and just follow up to ensure the company's hiring manager has received your resume, or ask to speak with the manager yourself.  I've learned in the past working in retail, some associates don't know the concept of delivering faxes to the manager, instead they trash them or don't even do anything with them.  So, try to speak with the manager instead when you call again.

    Good luck with everything!!!

  2. wait a couple of days, then call and ask them about the status on your application. sound really positive and excited to be talking to her.

I've worked in retial before and they like to hear the energy and excitement in your voice. Then you can bloe them away in the interview.

    good luck!

  3. Wait a few days.  If you don't hear from them in during this time give them a call and ask if they received your fax.  Or better yet, come in person and inquire.  Times are tough and the job market isn't exactly "soaring"  so you have to be more persistent than ever.  Employers are pickier because there is a higher need for jobs and less available positions.
