Does this sound like a good story?

I'm writing a story for English and it has to be a drama. This takes place in England in the 1700's:

A boy, Michael, and a girl, Christine have been best friends since they were kids, but as they grow up, she begins to have deeper feelings, whereas he thinks of her as a sister. As time progresses, he finds a beautiful woman named Marie and falls in love with her, thus leaving Christine alone. Christine, seeing that the only way she can be with Michael is by dreaming, starts to go crazy with depression and unrequited love.

Michael, now far away with Marie, is dying and needs a blood transfusion and Marie doesn't know what do to. Hastefully, she writes a letter to Christine telling her of Michael's illness, realizing she would do anything for him.

Christine rushes to Michael's home, but fearing he will try to stop her, stabs herself on his front steps. Marie finds Christine clinging to a love letter and rushes Michael to the hospital to have the bloodwork done.

i think it has a very great plotline and it definetly will have readers wanting to read it! good job!

I think you need to give Christine a bigger reason to stab herself.

If it's just that he might stop her..why did she come all the way to his house?

Definitely a good start.
