Question:

Does this sound like a reasonable deal?

I am trying to buy a used car and I happened to run across this car. It's a 1995 Beretta Z26 with 125,000 miles on it. They say that they had a recent tune up on it and replaced the brakes and battery on it. They want about $2000 dollars for it, but would it be worth it, or should I look for something else?

By the way this is my first car as I am a college student and I am looking for a ride to get me to and from work and school.

  1. If you are looking for a reliable ride, you should keep looking.  If you'd like a cool car and are handy at fixing them, this sounds like a good car.  $2k sounds pretty good.  Does the car look in good shape?

  2. I agree with Laissez-Faire Guy.

Keep looking unless you're willing to deal with the mechanical problems that come with the age and mileage of this car.

Also, the wholesale price of that car and mileage range from $325 to $1,100. If you do decide to buy it, please bargain the price down and do a carfax check. Goodluck!
