I'm a 16 (17 in a few months) female

I've been having pains in my hands for about 3 months now..it stops and goes away but its always on the tops of my hands and sometimes on my fingers its mostly my right hand but my left hand hurts too

there's NO tingling, numbness, redness, swelling (that i can tell)

I went to the hospital about a month ago, (they didn't do no xrays or anything..) but they hit them, and checked them and they said it didn't seem like CTS (Carpal tunnel) or arthritis

but since they did no tests or anything, I'm wondering could it still be there?

It doesn't run in my family or anything

I do type alot, and play alot of games, but lately i have cut that down ALOT so now I'm only using the computer less than a 4th of the time and its still not stopping

before it was hurting for about 2 weeks then stopped for 2 and a half months and now its hurting away

but before it started hurting i was typing a lot, and playing a lot of games..just the last couple of days I haven't been typing much

Is it likely that it is arthritis?

or something else?

  1. Other than pain there are other symptoms of arthritis.   Swollen joints and stiffness are very common.  If it is arthritis is likely your whole fingers will swell up.  Also if one hand is affected it will feel hotter than the other hand.
