Does this sound like too much for an apartment?

so my boyfriend, his brother, and i are looking in to getting an apartment in Vermont where we all live currently. I found a nice, 2 bedroom upstairs apartment in a quiet neighborhood in a town that has everything (post office, bank, restaurants, jobs, etc) for 775/month plus utilities. after speaking with the current tenant and rounding UP on the utilities (150/month for propane heat and 75/month for electricity and 75/month for tv and internet bundle pack from comcast) plus food it comes to about 450/month per person for the three of us. my boyfriend told me to keep looking because that was too expensive.. but i have been looking since the beginning of summer and our deadline to find a place is sept1... does this pricing for a 2 bedroom with off street parking, laundry included, and a whole garage of storage space seem too high?

  1. He's crazy!

that is an wasome price for 1 persone much less three!

take it before you lose it! you want to getr that deal

  2. Actually the price was fair, you need to simply show him the comparables on 2 bedroom units within a 5-10 mile radius.  What is killing is the d**n utilities.  If I were you I would stroke off the food bill.  It will bring down the cost of the 450 and you are not all going to be home eating dinner every night as a family.  He will get the picture and if not, let him do the looking then.
