Question:

Does this sound normal?

So just about an hour or two ago, I had the courage to tell my parents about what I was thinking about. [Some were kinda disturbing to me]. They were helping me and it was very nice that I could come out to them :)

I feel a lot better now, they told me what I was going through was normal. But is it normal to feel shaky after just telling them?

My stomach kinda hurts and I'm a little shaky. Anybody who's experienced this, did you get like this? Will it go away? Thanks!! :)

  1. I am so proud of you for having the courage to talk to them.  It doesn't matter what the prob was, that was the right thing to do.  Anytime you have to make yourself do something and its very important to you, and your not sure your making the right decision, it affects you like that. It will go away, try to watch a movie, it will get your mind off of it and you'll feel better right away.  Everyone goes thru these things honey, so don't feel too bad, and don't think too much, you don't want any wrinkles. just kidden.. God Bless..

  2. It took a lot of guts to do what you did, which means you felt nervous, which means adrenalin was released. Very normal.

  3. Yeh, it's normal to still be nervous for a while after doing something that takes a lot of courage.  Take deep breaths, walk around a little, drink some water, sit or lay down and try to clear your mind of everything.  If you are still shaking, wrap up in a blanket.  If you can't clear your mind, then try this exercise, it's a good one to help fall asleep, too.  Slowly relax all the muscles in your body.  Focus first on your toes, then your feet, ankles, calves, knees, thighs, hips, etc 'til you do your face and yes, your head (you have muscles there, too).  Do not rush your way through.  It's a good way to slow you down, relax your body, decrease anxiety, and it takes just enough concentration to refocus you mind.

  4. if you were talking to them about things that were disturbing to you, then of course you will be a bit shaky afterwards. its just your nerves releasing the built up stress inside your body, the shaking often happens after a very stressful situation-its a form of mild shock, and what you should do is wrap yourself up in a blanket, keep yourself warm until the shaking goes away, and it will.

  5. As you have found out, feelings are changing all the time. Sure it will go away, just like it came.
