Does this sound odd?

my hubby and i have been ttc for two years with no luck, i know this may sound odd but its just that nearly everyone who i speak to who has been ttc for this long say that they have had at least one failed pregnacy i.e miscarriage; im not saying i want this to happen to me i just think its odd that absolutly nothing has happened to me for the two years i have been ttc.

Could this mean that there is something very wrong or just that im lucky in a weird kind of way?

  1. Y ou have been trying for over a year with no success so you are more than entitled to get checked out!!! Fertilty tests, scans, sperm count etc...We have recently had them all done and the doc has put me on clomid which seems to be working so far(producing follicles)....Sure you have nothing to lose by getting yaselfs checked out hun...Good luck **babydust*** to all ttc xx

  2. Me and my partner tried for a baby for over two years and had just about given up hope when i found out i was pregnant. I now have a beautiful 5 month old baby boy, and am 12 weeks pregnant with my second baby! My best advice to any couple trying for a baby would just to be as relaxed about it as you can be. My first pregnancy went beautifully, and hopefully this one will be the same.   If i were you, I would try not to try so hard, and I'm sure it will happen for you just as it did me. Good luck and have fun!!!

  3. go to the doctors and get yourselves out

  4. If you've had all the tests and everything is fine with you and your partner I'd suggest trying to chart. Sign up with www.fertilityfriend.com, buy yourself a basal body thermometer and start charting, that way you will know when you ovulate and can then have s*x on the best days. Fertility friend has forums with plenty of people on there more than willing to help you learn how to read your charts. Having s*x at the optimum times is at least going to maximise your chances.

You can also go back and ask for further tests, it could be that your mucus is hostile to his sperm etc.

Best of luck and I hope you're not too far away from a BFP

  5. I have a friend who has been TTC for 2 years also and she has been lucky enough too to not have to suffer through a miscarriage so I think you are both lucky in a weird way ;)

She just recently went to the dr and was tested and she was all good but her husband had a low sperm count so he is having a surgery to help that..

Have you guys done any of that or considered it?

I hope you get pregnant REALLY soon!!! best wishes to you

  6. How come you and your hubby  haven't go to the doctor yet.  After a year of trying without luck they usually recommend you to go see doctor.

  7. I would definitely set up an appt with your OBGYN to see what's gonig on. Two years of TTC without anything is definitely a sign that you need to be checked out to see what's going on.

    Best of luck

  8. There is no reason that whoever is TTC for long has a failed pregnancy. it is just coincidence that u heard all that. I am TTC for 7 months. Gyn told me that once we TTC for 1 year, we need to have tests done to find out if something is wrong. so better fix an appt with a gyn and get the necessary tests done. At least we get an idea as to what to do further if we get a concrete idea......all the best

  9. I would get the sperm tested.  Chances are the problem lies somewhere in the fertilization process and the ovum would never implant to begin with, therefore you would not miscarry, or if you did it would be so early on you wouldn't know it.

  10. well they say after 1 year of ttc, and still no luck you should go to a specialest.. maybe he has a low sperm count..
