Question:

Does this sport burn alot of calories and build your chest muscles up?

Well, i have a punchbag on my bedroom wall and i was wondering if i work on this for about 20mins would it burn any calories off at all? and would it even do anything to my chest muscles? can anybody help me or give me tips on what things to do with a punchbag to get good results out of it please, thanks :)

  1. Burn cals yes build muscle not really.

    invest in some weights or gym membership to do this.

    or one of the best things is a chinning bar you can do so much with it and its less than a tenner at argos. you can then incorporate other body weight exercises to help build muscle but this will at best produce a lean toned effect for proper huge build you would later need to use weights that are more than body weight.

    Body weight exercises are an excellent start as they allow you to build form as well so transition to weights can be easier.

    I am currently a member on and am using the site http://bodyweightculture.com its great with exercises exclusive to using only your body weight as the resistance.
