Does this theory seem strange?

Question

I believe when we die, we either go to Heaven or go to h**l. But, I also have dreams that some people might call a past life. I was thinking, maybe instead of there being past lives we had a soul mate or someone that would've been very close to us if they lied in our time and we just saw in our dreams what they did day to day because we were connected somehow. Sorry, I really am not sure how to put it.

That's a deep one beyond thought.  I also believe in heaven n h**l, but I liked to think in the idea of purgatory....where in some things people died before their time or weren't able to redeem themselves before they died, OR, they weren't worthy of heaven but not sinful enough to deserve h**l so they stay amongst their memories as ghosts n what not.  Just a theory/thought though.

I believe in Heaven and h**l too.I believe that there is a purgatory and some souls stuck in purgatory roam our Earth as ghosts and some spirits just weren't ready to pass on yet and roam the Earth as well whether it be they just wanna hang around the place they were happiest a little bit longer or their bound to Earth by some tragedy that occurred to them in life.I heard this story where this priest was locking up his church and he saw a light on inside so he went in to turn it off. When he entered the church, he saw a man cleaning the altar.When the priest asked the man what he was doing the man replied: 'I told God I would clean all of His altars if I would be let into Heaven.' So the priest let the man continue his work and left.The next morning, the priest came back to find the door locked, but the man wasn't inside. Later, the priest told other priests about what happened and was surprised to find out that the same thing happened to the other priests as well.IDK if I told the story exactly right, cuz I heard it like a year ago.I'm not sure what to think about the idea of past lives yet, but I'm pretty sure I'll decide to believe in that idea too. Your theory isn't strange at all, I assure you.Like me, you're young and probably trying to figure out how thigs in this seemingly complicated work.I think it's normal for all teenagers to explore new ideas and theories about certain things.

Hey, first off, I think it's very cool of you to be thinking of such things and not many 14 year olds have these thoughts. I too have thought of this (: Guess great minds think alike eh? Anyway, I am all for the belief of soul-mates, and the cool thing of theories is that their just that...theories. They aren't proven to be right or wrong so don't let no one tell you different unless they can 'prove' it. So, there is my two cents for ya!

nobody really knows if there realy is a afterlife...people that do believe in a afterlife think that our actions in life decide where we will spend our eternity, if our actions were benevolent then we will go to heaven but if our actions were malevolent then eternal damnation in h**l awaits...about past lives i don't know.

There is some evidence that the Bible spoke of past lives, but now most Christian sects discount reincarnation.  I believe in reincarnation, I don't believe in h**l.  I'm a pagan.

Some say we have "genetic memories" meaning we can access the memories of our ancestors.  Maybe this will help you work out the thoughts.

Never stop thinking it is exactly what the government doesn't want you to do.
