That trade is dead because the Kings want to get rid of Kenny Thomas' fat contract and the Lakers don't want to go way over the cap.

it will only happen if the lakers agree to absorb thomas's big contract, a guy who hasn't been healthy for a while. If the Lakers agreed to this, then the trade would have already happened.
