  1. Lets get on with it!  Plus continue development of bio-fuels and other alternatives.  Lets build some more nuclear power facilities.  We should have been doing all of this 15-20 years ago and we would be in better shape now.

  2. No; Not at all. American’s should be able to drill for oil anywhere it exists .

We should drill for our own oil and “Drill America” is way over due. What happen to the days when America was a capitalist county ?

The rhetoric about oil is based on a false premise, which is that we are running out of oil. The same people who push the global warming hoax on us are now saying that we have not got enough oil. Present estimates for ANWR will provide 1 million barrels per day for the next 30 years.

Drill now, get oil, cut down our dependence on foreign oil imports, (Canada, Mexico, and OPEC), get rid ethanol at the gas pumps, and tell the bleeping environmentalists to stuff it.

  3. No, it does not upset me!

We will always have a need for oil!  We have oil in the U.S. that because of politics we can not drill for!

Like paying high prices for your gas - blame a liberal politician!   Environmental lobbies in Washington DC pay off politicians to write legislation to prevent us from drilling for oil!

We can even convert coal to a fluid fuel, a fuel that can burn   as clean as what the trucks are using now - it is liberal politicians (who get money from environmental groups) who make it impossible to use this valuable fuel source!  The U.S. has one of the largest supplies of coal in the world!

Don't like paying high prices for food, for heating oil, for gasoline in your car - blame your liberal politicians!

  4. The oil shortage is costing the economy a billion dollars a day, but the caribou in the ANWR need not look at an oil well.  Isn't that nice?

  5. No, not really.  In fact there may be some new drilling coming on line soon around the N. Dakota area.  There was a sizable discovery there recently, and although we'll still be dependent on foreign oil, it would be nice to get a little more oil out of our land.

You have to realize though, that production of oil in the US peaked in 1970 and has been declining every year since then, and even if we opened up every inch of land to oil drilling, we still couldn't reverse that decline.  A lot of these oil fields take 10 or more years to get set up and actually start producing oil, so oil prices aren't going to go down the minute we start drilling somewhere new.

  6. oil shale my friend 2 trillion barrels worth of oil in the rockies

makes me think WTF! is wrong with the goverment liberals

  7. Just one of the ways to end importing oil

  8. Yes it does. Even if we drilled all the oil available in America it would stem demand for oil for no more than a few years, and only end up exacerbating an already enormous problem.

  9. NO! we need to drill for our own oil! we are in debt deeply with these oil producing countries. They can easily bring us down with our debt. We need the oil and we will do anything to get it. The guys who are making money off of us with these ridiculously gas prices don't want to they say it's because our oil is not good enough the reason it's not is because they are making billions of dollars off of us! And who would be upset but the oil tycoons.

  10. no

  11. YES YES YES  it does  only because we are not doing enough of it

  12. No. Why should it upset me? We already have alot of wells in place that we aren't using right now.

  13. What do you expect that to do?

It won't change the world price for oil.  Our supplies are the proverbial drop in the bucket now.

It won't stop our need to buy imported oil, making people who don't like us much very rich.

An Iraqi vet started a biodiesel company.  He was upset we were financing the weapons that blew his buddies up.

  14. it's just a little frustrating.

we've been doing that for 100 years.

there just isn't a lot more left.

in addition, consider, with the little that is left, do you extract it and burn it today?

or wait 10-20 years when oil is $900 a barrel?

keep in mind, drill american oil is not about increasing the supply.

    it's about oil company profits.

  15. The thing that would truly upset USA - If the economy Collapsed.

Kill Trucking and we may not get food - Riots could ensue.

  16. I have mixed feelings on this, it's not the first time I've been through a oil crisis. I lean more to the side of less foreign dependency whether it's ethanol or American oil. The down side is, will the US actually do anything in the interim? I serious doubt it, if history is used as an indicator of action. Or as in this case inaction.

  17. It does upset me that we do not take advantage of our own oil reserves. It really is one of teh dumbest policies of our government.
