  1. No, it will not stop your growth, just be sure you aren't running excessively, don't train for a marathon or any really big distance until you've stopped growing, then you should be fine.

  2. No but the studies have shown running to stress your joints.  There are five times the knee surgery from running over walking.  Just add 10 min. to your time you will burn just as many calories !!

  3. only if your asteroid user

  4. No, it won't harm your growth at all. There are plenty of good runners of all heights.

  5. it shouldn't when i joined track i was 5'7 and after the season i was 5'10 so it doesn't stop ur growth

  6. i have done track and xc from freshman to senior year and i started at about 5'5" and now i am 6'1" so i am proof that it doesn't stunt your growth.

  7. No, it will not stunt your growth...in fact doing anything thats healthy for your body will promote growth.

  8. Nope my coach (he is austrias fastest sprinter so he knows what he is talking about) said that doing regular running will just make you grow more! I am 14 and since last year I have gone from 5'4 to 5'6 and I have been training more than ever! I am just like you, I do cross country as well as track and field.

    Hope this helps! x*x
