  1. I am sorry for your loses.

The sonohysterogram is a procedure where saline is injected into the uterus while an trans-vaginal ultrasound is performed. It is used to look for polyps, fibroids, and other uterine abnormalities that may get in the way of fertility.

A hysterosalpingogram (HSG) is an X-ray test that looks at the inside of the uterus and fallopian tubes and the area around them.  They fill you with dye for this test.

The sonohysterogram is not as useful for checking if tubes are open, but it usually gives a better look at polyps and fibroids.

If you just had a regular trans-vaginal ultrasound, that will not provide enough information.

I wish you the best of luck.
