  1. I I think it can.

You can learn more about people.

I love traveling. When I traveled to Germany a couple of years ago I learned how similar we are to each other regardless of our geographical location or  the language we speak. We all have families, love to play, need to work, and want to live a quality life.

It also enlightened me to discover how German's view of recycling was very different from American's view of recycling . For example, Americans don't take recycling very seriously, in Germany they do.  In Germany, it  is seen as offensive to litter, or contribute in anyway to the death of the planet. Also, they have three recycle bins, one for organics (figure that one out for yourself), plastics, and aluminum. I really appreciated my visit to Germany and their view on preserving Earth.

You can learn more about spirituality.

Also, some people, through their travels have had experiences where they believed they have touched the hand of God and their lives have been changed forever. When I travel to certain natural locations where I am admiring wildlife, gorges, Niagara Falls or other incredible landscapes I think how awesome these places are and have a moment of appreciation for the Earth.

I don't know if this answers your question, but these are experiences that have added to my appreciation of life and the beautiful things I have encountered in my life while traveling.
