Does triming your ends really help?

okay, i have talk to many people...

some say trimming your ends help your hair grow

and

the other people say it does nothing

SO WHICH ON IS TRUE?

  1. trimming your ends does help your hair grow because after a while your hair will get split/dead ends and it will slow down your hair from growing... and it also helps your hair be healthier if you get it trimmed every now and then :]


  2. its a myth, it does get rid of dead ends and makes it look better and healthier but triming the ends does nothing for helping ur hair grow

  3. this myth has been widely known for quite a while now.

    and it has been proven to be 100 percent....WRONG.

    although trimming your hair helps prevent nasty split ends, it does nothing for your hair growth.

    it keeps your hair very healthy trimming it normally, so i'm not telling you not to trim it...but it does nothing for you hair growth.

  4. the truth is that your hair gets longer and becomes more healthy with a trim, getting rid of split and dead ends...

    it looks, and is healthier for the hair
