  1. yes and no at the same time, if you have split ends yes because you are taking them off and if you dont the split ends would get longer and longer (causing breakage) so if u have split ends and trim them of yes

  2. No... but it makes it look healthier so that you wouldn't need to have a major haircut in the future to get rid of the damaged ends.

  3. No, it's just good for your hair because your cutting off the dead and split ends.

  4. No, it keeps it from getting split ends which allows the hair to continue growing.

  5. No. It's a common false myth.

  6. I wanted long hair in highschool. I refused to get it cut for an entire year, not wanting to slow it down from growing, it grew very dry and brittle.  I finally got my hair cut and I was back to where I had started with short hair after getting rid of all the slip ends.  This time though, still in seek of long hair, I cut it roughly once every month and it grew much faster and healthier.

  7. Supposedly, by trimming the ends, it stops your hair from being damaged and breaking.  It doesn't particularly make it grow faster, it just stops the hair you do have from breaking off so that you can have longer healthier hair.

  8. Yes it does because it prevents split ends which slow down growth.

There is a maximum length your hair will go and you can't force it to be longer so if your wanting it really long maybe get some extensions?

  9. i don't think it makes your hair grow faster from the root but it does stop the hair at the bottom from getting split ends and breaking and looking all gross...split ends are dangers because they can damage the hair strand all the way up the shaft of the hair and cause your hair to break up rather high up the strand...

  10. no yẹr cuttin it off

  11. in the long run yes. youll have less split ends so hair can grow more easy.

  12. it wont grow faster but it will be healthier

  13. Yeah! It keeps it healthy when the ends are clean and not raggy and split, so it ends up growing faster, longer, and healthier!

  14. truth is it doesn't but if you want to grow your hair longer.  trim it every month because if you end up waiting for six months your hair will be damaged at the ends and you'll end up cutting off more then you want to.

  15. well i heard it does it keeps your hair healthy and gets rid of splid ends

  16. Well, it's an illusion.

Your hair pretty much always grows at the same rate. Diet and age might effect it, but cutting it wont. (hair is not alive, and does not realize it is being cut).

Untrimmed hair breaks its ends, at  close to  the same rate that it grows. These broken ends break further, causing the hair to  appear as if it is not growing quickly.

Trimming your hair stops the broken ends from breaking further down the length of the hair.  Even when measured in length, this gives the illuson of the hair growing faster. But in reality, it is simply breaking slower.

  17. no i wont effect how fast your hair grows, it will just make it look healthier, and it will make you look cleaner. hair grows from your scalp and trimming ends really doesnt effect it.
