Does ur camera get ruined if you hold the button down for continuous shooting when no memory card in it?

You will quickly fill up the built in memory of the camera, but you will not do any damage to the camera itself.  No different than taking a bunch of individual pics and filling the "in camera" memory that way.

I really doubt it,

most cameras that i know of, won't shoot anyway, if there's no card in it?

no it doesn't, not at all, they'll show up, they just won't get stored in a memory device. But it wouldn't " destroy " the camera, who gave you that idea?
