  1. I'm not sure about Mexico, but in Canada U.S. Citizens do not need a Visa, but do need a Canadian Study Permit. To apply for the study permit, a student must have their letter of acceptance from the Canadian school, proof of U.S. citizenship, and proof of financial support during the period of study. Passports will be required after June of '09. As far as financial support, those Canadian schools recognized by the U.S. Department of Education (most Canadian universities are) will enable you to apply for the U.S. Stafford Student Loan.
