The people that keep saying USC beat a legit team.  Look at their record from last season.  9-4.  Most of their wins was within a few points and some by only 1 point.  Youngstown State or Georgia Southern could have beaten Virginia this year.  Well, Georgia Southern could have.

Unfortunately, they do. They played better than any team in the nation last week. The level of competition has nothing to do with it, either since Virginia could probably have been beaten by the App. St. team that LSU played that weekend.

Now the real question is, if USC loses a step and UGA, OSU, etc. plays better than them, will the rankings change again? I doubt it. But it should work that way.

No way why cuz they wooped on virginia....georgia won there game what else are they suppose to do im assuming they took players out to get some other people some playing time so why be punished for that....just retarded

Ranking at this early part of the season is silly. No one deserves the number one spot (or any ranking) yet.  At this point, the rankings are just to get you to buy magazines or watch television ads longer than you otherwise would.

With that being said, USC looked very good last Saturday, as did Georgia, WV, UF, USF, Bama, tOSU, etc.

Yes, they do. Georgia didn't necessarily struggle, but 42-21 isn't an impressive final score against what was supposed to be a cupcake. Meanwhile, USC spanked a legit Virginia team.
