Does using bleach in the toilet corode it?

The bottom of the toilet is rusty after I used bleach on it and gets blocked is bleach the problem? How can I successfully unblock it, I dont really want to call in a plumber.

  1. No, the toilet is porcelain, but the bolts that hold it together may rust.  Also your municipal water supply may be high in iron causing rust.  Rust will not block a toilet.  Try to unblock the drain.  You can pour hot water down the toilet in large quantities to move whatever it is through or you can buy a plumber's snake and snake out the toilet drain.


  2. it's not the bleach that is blocking your toilet! something else might be the cause of it , get a  of hot water and dump it in there , if you have a plunger use it , if this doesn't work get a snake to unclog , get some Drano from the store  and use that , and as a last resort call the plumber. Bleach will disinfect and clean your toilet but not clogging it .

  4. Don't think that bleach is the problem of it blocking up.  Try using a plunger.  That might help.

  5. nah u just need a new loo tbh, porcelait bogs dont go rusty :) and bleach doesnt corrode them
