  1. Very definitely!  The sperm need to be as mobile as possible to reach the egg in time - any lubricants will just slow it down.

  2. Lubricant (ky, astroglide, etc) renders sperm immobile.  It will reduce your chances of conceiving.

If you like to use lube, the only kind that is good to use while conceiving is Pre-seed.  Read all about pre-seed here:  http://www.preseed.com/

  3. Ky's consistency isn't "sperm friendly" so its defeating their purpose.  My specialist recommended using Pre-Seed because it is "sperm-friendly".  The company has a website that you can order it from and i believe its sold in some pharmacies but, I'm not certain.  I bought mine online.

I don't know if it was the thing that did the trick but, we will be celebrating my son's 1st birthday Wednesday.  Good Luck!!!

  4. Yes, KY jelly can interfere with the sperm's forward mobility towards the egg . . . it is not birth control, but it is not optimal if you are trying to conceive.

If you need a lubricant, look into pre-seed which is a sperm friendly lubricant.

    Best wishes & baby dust!

  5. It can reduce your spouses sperm because it is not sperm friendly, try using pre-seed.

  6. when my husband did his count test, they said no lubicant because that will reduce the numbers. the nurse even soap is damaging. She adivsed there are special lubricants to use, im not sure if ky jelly is ok or not.
