  1. Hophead-"Not At All."

As stated above it is a choice or preference. I do not think of home-brewing as a back woods tinker 'anything together only' activity. Ultimately it is about the beer. How one goes about making it is a individual choice.

  2. Not at all. It is just another choice in the every evolving world of homebrewing. I like the idea so much that I have plans on upgrading to these systems soon.

  3. You mean the kits right /

    NOT the hardware Right/

Kits are used to introduce you to the art with fair amount of success

Locating local stores you can buy supplies to continue if you enjoy your efforts..

  4. Not at all. Consider yourself a homebrew innovator.

I have made nearly ALL of my gear ignoring all conventions and still have won blue ribbons and gold medals.

to freesumpin - if you don't start drinking in the morning, then you can't drink (bud) all day.

  5. You need it to make the beer-right? I don't think it violates anything.

I just answered your other question and now I understand this one better.

I think it can only help. I mean since in all things there are levels to choose from this is just the same. We are still making homebrew.

  6. Does hop flavored malt extract, cane sugar and bread yeast violate the spirit?

How about U-Brew establishment where you can brew 200 different styles that challenge most of the best lagers, ales, pilsners in the world. Even Germans and Belgians!

After brewing the wort injected with manufactured CO2, canned, yes, actually canned with pull tabs, and presented in shiny cases for our drinking enjoyment. At a 60 per cent plus savings!

Yes, it's just not fair to the spirit of poor old Budweiser, isn't it?

No, I think Homebrewing systems and U-Brew places are fine, just fine.

By the way, try drinking a Bud early in the morning to best appreciate its subtle charms!

  7. no

  8. I'd say if anything it embraces the spirit of homebrewing.  Every homebrewer out there has a touch of madness to them, you just happen to be branching out beyond your beer.  Nothing wrong with that.
