some say yes and some say no. it all depends on ur driving conditions.

try driving one week with the  a/c on ( fill gas tank 1st ) then drive one week with a/c off and see what u avg for gas use. good luck.

on the news it says it makes little to no difference. but it will if youre on a highway. like its better to have your AC on if youre going over 50 but other than that it doesnt matter (dont know why. i just saw it on the news)

YES , FILL UP RESET THE METER DRIVE WITH NO AIR AND SEE HOW MAY DAYS YOU GO THEN DO IT WITH AIR I BET YOU GET MORE MILES AND DAY

Don't listen to all these clowns. Depending on your motor size and how much you use the AC can affect your gas mileage maybe by 1-mpg. If you have anything over a 2.5l in your car, you shouldn't notice. Driving at fast speeds with the windows rolled down creates more frag and resistance (thus worse fuel economy) then driving with the windows up and ice cold AC blowin on ya.

If you have a smaller motored car then it can affect your gas mileage up to 2 mpg's depending on the make/model/and year of the car. If it's anythign newer than a 2000 then there shouldn't be that big of a difference. And jsut depending on the manufactures the AC unit may be designed well, or it may suck and give you crappy fuel economy.

ODDS ARE, you're not causeing any more global warming or costing yourself much more gas at all.

pretty much the same as other answers but it is better to only use your ac when on the highway and roll down the windows on the road...your car takes more energy to run the ac but rolling your windows down at higher speeds just eliminates your cars aerodynamics...so enjoy the fresh air around town....good luck
