Does vaseline really work to make your eyelashes longer?

Question

Has anyone actually gotten longer lashes due to vaseline? How do you get it off your lashes without getting it in your eyes....do you wash it off? I heard it can blind you if it gets in your eyes...

my lashes r extremly long everyone ask me what masacra I use and I tell them I dont I use vaseline just get a cue tip n put it on ur lashes leave it on over night

but idk. My whole family has long eyelashes so....

and if it blinds you, then why would even take the risk of putting it on your eyelashes? You are beautiful the way you are!

It doesn't work. It's a myth, and you can't go blind either.

If you want to have eyelashes that look PLUMPER and SHINIER during the day, use the tiniest amount of olive oil over curled eyelashes.

I really wished it worked though, that would be awesome and I would be all over that.

no, it's just supposed to make them stronger. you don't really get it in your eyes....you sparingly apply it to your eyelashes. you can wash it off gently in the shower or when you wash your face. it can't blind you if you get it in your eyes, it will impair your vision obviously for a few minutes (not that you should get a lot in your eyes). oh and you should put it on at night if you decide to...

I have been putting Vaseline on my eyelashes nearly every evening before bed for over 20 years, and in my experience it keeps them thick, soft and long.  I'm never without Vaseline for that reason.  It washes off in the morning when you wash your face or take a shower.  You don't have to rub or scrub.  Just wash your face like you normally do.  You don't need to use a whole lot when you put it on, and it definitely does not blind you if it gets in your eyes or I would have been blind a million times over by now.

I've never heard of that, but i'm positive it's not true; sounds too much like a risk to have a heavy oil on your eyelashes. i can imagine during hot humid months that the oil would continuosly run down into your eyes.

vaseline won't make ur eyelashes longer if that's what ur asking. It can MAYBE!!!! temporarily lengthen them, but not permanently. It cannot and will not blind u. U just wash it off, simple as. I don't recommend it. just use mascara!!
