Does vicodin cause nightmares?

Does it cause you to have nightmares? Why?

yes i had terrible nightmares night after night after being prescribed vicodin for wisdom teeth. they were so real and not like any ive had before. the kind where you think you wake up but then you are in a nightmare within a nightmare. pretty much a very bad trip.

 i gotta respond yes, vicodin can cause nightmares, just had 3 right after the other and i've only taken 2 500mgs all day, took one in the morning and a couple hours before i went to bed, this has happended on a regular, so to anyone that has just been prescribed it, do not take before bed. If you have no problems with it causing nightmares then take it, but this is the 3rd night in a row, so tommarow i am defiantly not taking anywhere close to 4-5 hours before i sleep. That way hopefully the drug will have run its course.

it did for me. every time i take it i have nightmares. some are really scary.

it causes nightmares when i take it and I only took half a dose! I felt like I was half asleep but the nightmares were very vivid and auditory. it was WEIRD.
