Does vicodin make you itch? my husband was perscribed after surgery he says he itches?

Itching is very common when taking vicodin. Best to keep a close eye out though because any type of itching can be a sign of allergic reaction, but if its not intense or accompanied by swelling of other body parts he should be alright and the itching will calm after the first 2 or 3 hours.

yes, that's a common side effect... One night I did a couple with three other friends and were all very vigorously scratching our noses all night

Never made me itch before.

I heard it's a side effect but I also heard people who are allergic itch so??

i was on vicodin for pain and i was itching like crazy it also made me sick....

it definitely makes you itch, as do all opiates/synthetic opiates.  I used to take that stuff to get high & it almost wasn't worth it because of the itching!  Its not an allergic reaction.

Oh- and I'm clean & sober now.
