  1. i agree that violence does affect everyone, but especially young adults. I remember giving a speech in fourth grade about the effects of violence on tv and in video games. I said that it could affect some kids more than others depending on how the parents explained the violence and its effects to the children. I remember playing tons of violent games and watching movies like Anaconda in like kindergarten and I don't think i turned out too bad, but then agan my parents used to sit down and discuss how in life people don't come back to life once the game was over.

  2. I do think that violence in the media affects young adults but it doesn't promote or encourage young adults to be violent. The majority of people can differentiate between reality and what they see on the TV and while they may enjoy watching violent programmes, they wouldn't act on what they saw or change their thinking into something sadistic. However, it can affect the perception young adults have of other young people. In the news, there is a lot of coverage of violence, and it can make others believe that they need to act in a certain way to protect themselves. Carrying a knife for protection allegedly is only one example of this. It breeds a society where people expect violence which in itself creates violence.

  3. Violence affects the minds of the young and old. I cannot imagine what it would have been like to be in World War 1 or 2. Violence is in the media everyday and that is the way of the world.I wish there wasn't any violence in this world but it will always affect our minds in some way.

  4. violence anywhere will effect anyone

  5. media treats violence as a means of everyday life.  It even take it to video games, commercials, movies, tv shows - it is everywhere.  Too much of something desensitizes our minds and makes things okay.  Very rarely does the media show the results of the violence, so our youth don't understand the difference between right and wrong.  they don't understand guilt.  They don't understand remorse.  they think they can hit the reset butten and be done with it!

  6. yes. sometimes.

it really depends upon the person, what kind of media, and whats in the media(actors and such)

if its a tv show with like, your favorite actor or something, some people are crazy enough fans and all to follow that example.

every type of media affects someone.

thats why they have commercials. :)
