  1. In infants, yes. Deterioration is perhaps not the correct term, but if an infant is deprived of vision, the visual tracts in the brain do not develop well, and all the interconnections associated with what we do when we see something go awry.


  2. At worst it's like waking up in the morning. You have some trouble with the light and it may hurt a bit but that's about it.

  3. NO. As you are giving rest to your eyes there is no way your eyes get effected.

    People can survive under horrible, murky conditions for long periods of time - go to Detroit some time.

  5. well if u could not see for a long time and changes happened around u it would be very blurry and out of shape because 25% of vision is filled in by memory for example being blind ur whole life and a new innovative surgery lets u see it wold be terrible and it would still be like being partially blind because of the fact above
