So, does regular flat tap water have an expiration date, lets say if tapped and then kept in a bottle in the fridge?

  1. Closed it is good for almost ever ,but in America it will have an expiration date.

  2. If it is properly sealed bottled water from the store, max usually is two years. If it is just capped in the fridge..that's iffy.

  3. The plastic "chemical" can not hurt you, but if you keep the water bottle in a warm place with bacteria present, it will not taste good.

  4. Many expiration dates are there to keep stock properly rotated in the store or to make sure that an old "style" is pulled so the new one is accepted. Like when they changed bottles to the thinner plastic or first came out with the wide mouth bottles.

But I am not sure why you would waste refrigerator space with bottles of tap water that you are not using.  Store the bottles and then fill when needed no worries about plastic leaching into the water that way either.

  5. YUP! Check the bottle

  6. Not really. But if you keep water in a bottle or can that isn't sterile, it's possible for something to grow if the temperature is right. What you'd most need to worry about, though, is chemical leaching from the plastic. While it probably wouldn't hurt you (assuming that the container was clean  and designed for food), it would make the water taste kind of funny.

  7. no water does not go bad anyone that says so does not know what they are talking about
