  1. On it's own no. In bottles, yes. This is because slowly over time, it becomes contaminated by the plastic.

  2. On the USS Boise, I make the water.  It won't expire but after a while it does get a "stale" taste because the oxygen separates out.  One thing a lot of people take for granted its the "fresh" taste of water.  When water is first purified, it has an extraordinary taste.   Some people like water with something to it, weather it be minerals, oxygen, or what have you.  The water itself remains pure, but when it comes to the taste, that's all up to you.  I like fresh clean water with oxygen still in it.  Back home water is high in minerals, which gives the water a  unique taste, but it's "flat".  As far as water expiring, no, it doesn't; but your taste is really what matters.

  3. yes it does especially if it's packaged in a cancer laden plastic bottle. Go drink from the streams of the EARTH! THAT'LL NEVER EXPIRE unless you abuse it.

  4. not if it comes from the tap. Bottled water comes from the tap too, but it does have an experation date.

  5. if so, what would we drink?  The water on this planet has been here an awfully long time.
