  1. yes..if this is a kidney condition it's not able to clean the blood. excess potassium and chloride effect the heart rhythm..which can cause a build up of fluid in the tissues..when your heart and filter..or kidneys get overloaded the trash has to go somewhere thus the tissues and the swelling. There are other reasons that can cause this  but this  is usually then end result.
