  1. The world is actually cooling up called global cooling. Running water doesn't do anything of what you describe.

  2. Cold water running has a very low carbon footprint, or can be none. When we heat the water, the energy used will have a carbon footprint.

If we wash in a cold water detergent, we may not like the environmental effect of the detergent, but at least we do not use energy to heat the water.

  3. Since the Himalayan glaciers are melting, which is where most countries get their water, try to save up water.

  4. Not much besides the sun really has an impact on our climate. CO2 really does nothing... but conserving water is better for your area.

  5. Turning on the faucet doesn't directly cause "global warming."

  6. Only burning coal, oil and natural gas causes global warming. But almost everything we do can be traced back to someone somewhere burning some coal or oil or natural gas on our behalf. In the case of running water, it may be that the water is forced through pipes to your house by a pump somewhere that runs on electricity that was generated by a power plant that burned coal. Or maybe not. You can't tell for sure, but that is probably the case for most people using city water.
