  1. It won't hurt your vision...but it may cause a headache, and you won't be seeing right.

How could you order contacts with your glasses prescription ?

If you can write out your glasses Rx , then what you got for the contacts, we could help you more.

Your prescription is one of the rare cases where the contacts and glasses Rx should be the same. The cylinder and axis  just happen to be available for contacts on both eyes.

IF that is the axis you needed for the contacts. That part isn't always the same.

The axis has to do with the astigmatism correction , and if it isn't right, it won't work

What is probably happening is that one lens isn't rotating to the right position , so the axis may have had to be changed. That's why it will be blurry. And that's why contacts should never be ordered from a glasses prescription.

Only the Optician while fitting the lenses could have seen that and know what axis it has to be changed to , it could be 10 degrees either way from what the glasses Rx says, or even more.

Often , a contact has to be ordered at 170 to make it sit right on your eye at 160...or could be 150....

  2. They say it won't hurt your vision but I think (because I did that once), your eyes tend to get used to the stronger prescription after awhile and then when you go back to your real prescription, it seems as though you can't see well.  You are in one way training your eyes for the stronger prescription.

  3. You will get a headache from the higher prescription.  Your eyes will eventually adjust and make themselves worse if you wear them long enough.

  4. Don't wear them. The prescriptions on both your contacts and glasses are slightly different.

Wearing them will force your eyes to eventually adjust to them, making them worse.

  5. Yes, to certain extend. The image will be too sharp for u.

  6. It will hurt your head, I wouldn't spend my time using a prescrption only making it worse for you. Contact your optromitist and get fitted for a new prescrption
