It is slimming and easy to accessorize.

Often it implies a dark sense of humor or seriousness or a desire to rid yourself of "worldly" notions of fashion.

Sometimes phoniness and "attitude"(like goth and beatniks).

In my case, I wear black when I want to dress up. I have a great "LBD" and a black, sequined evening dress.

I have one black skirt and one black pants.

I do not worship the devil . I don't even believe in such a thing.
