  1. No.

Gynecomastia is all hormonal, and requires blood testing in order to take appropriate action.

If anything tight clothes may supplement the appearance of fat that has built up in the pectoral area.

Cardiovascular activities, such as running, biking, and sports are a more AMENABLE action to your problem. You need to burn the fat that has built in those areas to reduce their appearance.

  2. Unfortunately no, However Gynecomastia  is fairly common. It is a physiologic phenomenon that occurs during puberty, when at least half of males experience enlargement of one or both b*****s. Pubertal hypertrophy is characterized by a tender discoid enlargement of the breast tissue beneath the areola and usually subsides spontaneously within a year.

Gynecomastia also is common among elderly men, particularly when there is associated weight gain.

This condition is usually temporary and benign. It may be caused by hormonal imbalance, medication with estrogens or steroidal compounds, or failure of the liver to inactivate circulating estrogen, as in alcoholic cirrhosis.

It tends to remit spontaneously but, terribly bothersome it may be corrected surgically for cosmetic or psychological reasons.

I work in dermatology and plastic surgery.  Here is a great link that can give you info on the plastic surgery aspect of it.  Also be sure to check your thyroid at your doctors because sometimes and overactive thyroid can cause Gynecomastia.
