Does what I replied to this married guy may get me into trouble?

Question

Well, I should start saying that I have a penpal (yes he's military) that I actually met in person some time ago. We became friends and have always talk about friendship. I know him, but not his wife and neither does she, but I always send his family regards.

He said he enjoys our friendship, so I replied I enjoyed it too. I mean, I talk about friendship and he's doing it also. Or is it that I made a mistake and mislead him as to why do he said that?

Cuz If I say friendship is friendship, but I want to make sure he means it also, that I hope he does, cuz he's nice to have as a long distance friend talking about places he had gone that makes it diff from the stuff I'm surrouded by.

Does his wife know you are his "pen pal" (are both of you in the 7th grade?).  If not, then you BOTH are hiding something and know it.  Who do you think you're kidding?

I have an email-pal who I have been communicating with for 10 years now.  His wife knows about me and calls me his internet girlfriend.  She doesn't like it but she knows I'm not a threat.

  You should bring it all out into the open, and maybe even you can e-mail his wife and family so then you get the whole story, and there are no secrets.

I hate to break it to you...but if his wife doesn't know about you then you aren't just a "penpal" to HIM.

Instead you are a secret. And that in a word is BAD.  

Be very careful because what many fail to realize is that physical affairs start by having emotional affairs.  Emotional affairs start by talking to someone "secretly" about ones life and removing his/herself from their spouse and relying on the new person to stroke their ego or agree with what they want.
