  2. It can--if the nerves in your neck are pinched, it can effect the nerves in your face and jaw and cause slurring of speech and severe headaches, ringing in your ears and balance problems. If untreated, many complications can be attributed to whiplash.

    If you have whiplash, apply ice 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off 2-6 times a day for the first 2-3 days. Rolling your head in a circle slowly and gently will help stretch the muscles-but go easy! You may need Ibuprofin or Aleve to help with pain and immflamation. Take as directed and keep taking them for 3-4 days.

    If you don't feel better, see your doctor or chiropractor, as this only worsens as time goes on and you may need therapy.
