Does white ink print on white fabric?

If you get a custom printed t-shirt of a design you created on the computer and the background happens to be white, will the white from the background show up? What I mean is, you know how you can feel and see ink on a t-shirt, would you feel and see any white ink?

I don't think there is such a thing as white printing ink.

There's no white ink. Anything that's white on the design will be blank, so if the t-shirt is white, it will be white. If the t-shirt is blue, it will be blue.
