Does white vinegar strip your hair color? 10 pts best answer ?

I have a medium brown hair color and I'm going to the beach tomorrow.

I want to know if i put vinegar and water in my hair if it will get lighter, or if it will just strip my hair color? Yes, I do dye my hair.

Also, what are the measurements?

1. How much vinegar should i use and how much water?

2. how long do i stay in the sun for? Does it matter?

3. Will white vinegar lighten my hair?

4. Will it strip the color?

5. Whats the different between-

white vinegar, red wine vinegar, apple cider vinegar?

NO it wont strip your hair color! But it will make it lighter the longer you stay out in the sund with the vinegar and water on!

1. How much vinegar should i use and how much water? Depending on how thick your hair is, Use about a cup of vinegar and a cup of water! Rub threw your intire hair!

2. how long do i stay in the sun for? Does it matter? Doesnt matter!

3. Will white vinegar lighten my hair? No use regular vinegar white vinegar seems to take your color out more!

4. Will it strip the color? No if your using water it should work!

5. Whats the different between-

white vinegar, red wine vinegar, apple cider vinegar? They all have different chemical ballances used for certain things!

6. What one do i use? Does it matter? I would go with plain vinegar!

instead of- Sun in, Lemon Juice.. Lemon juice seem to strip the color more and make your hair more in nots!

nope. it wont strip your hair. but it might actually take a few days maybe possibly a week even. so don&#039;t freak out if i doesn&#039;t come out the first time you take a shower. I&#039;ve done this a few times to get my hair lighter, and its worked out perfectly fine. and i have died my hair golden and done this. its fine to do it! Here are the measurements.

1. 3/4 of vinegar... and 1/4 of a cup of water.

2. theres no set time. but app. 1 1/2 hours.

5. there is just different chemicals. i have tried all of them. white vinegar seems to work better for me. depends on your hair color.. i guess.

well no it wont strip your hair color, but it increases the chances of your color fading to be duller if overexposed to sunlight. However you can definitely lighten your hair naturally with ketchup and baby oil. I know it sounds gross, but i was watching a show and a professional hairstylist recommended it. so goodluck!
