Does wind affect the rotation of a tornado?

I am always wondering about the answer to this question.

yes it does..

the wind will affect the rotation of the tornado only in little ways.  they will not affect the direction or the tornado but it will affect the formation of the tornado. the winds will always rotate the same direction (one way above the equator another below) but the wind will affect the shape, speed, and rotating speed of the tornado.
