  1. NO.

But Too dark of a tint will get you a ticket in some states!

    Good Luck!

  2. YES

Metal window films will block or interfere with radar detectors, AM radio, GPS and Bluetooth by a factor of 1000X .

You might consider ceramic films like FormulaOne Pinnacle at http://www.formulaone.com

  3. No, window tint does not affect radar.  Very few things do.

  4. No it does not,,,

  5. Most window tints would not, but certain types could.  I rented a GM car in California once years ago and it apparently had some sort of metalic window tint.  Normally my GPS would work if placed on the dashboard, but it would not work in that car, so I had to get a window clip cable to mount the GPS antenna outside.

If that tint blocked the GHz frequency range that GPS uses, I imagine it could block the GHz range that radar uses.  But you wouldn't notice until they gotcha (might just weaken the signal and shorten its range).

  6. The simple answer is no!  I have been a criminal defense attorney  for over 15 years and the only thing I ever saw dark window tint get was a ticket or the grounds for a cop to harrass a motorist.
