Does winter kill whipworms in the soil?

  1. I have to find this out for a vet school assignment.  There seems to be little to no research on the topic.  The best articles I've found are one in Korean and one from Argentina that show decreased whipworm levels in soil during winter.  A drug company article cited a 1929 article on whipworms when saying that they are very environmentally resistant... I would lean towards winter kills the eggs.
