  1. You will get the money (as a paycheck) directly from your school. You have to "earn" Work Study money by working on campus and you are responsible for finding your own job on campus.  If you can not find someone to hire you, you won't get that money.  If you are being offered work study, take it.  It's usually 15 to 20 hours a week, depending on the award amount and that money doesn't count against you when you apply for financial aid next  year.

  2. it goes to you. its like having a job, that limits you to work only 5-20 hours a week. you have to make sure that the money goes back to pay on your bill. so basically you have to make sure you take that check to the billing office at your college.

there are few schools who would actually pay the money to your bill. but for the most part they pay to you.

its never much, and the pay is terrible, worse than just getting a job at walmart lol, but if you dont take one on and you have it on your fin aid letter, you could loose your chance at it for the whole time your in college, and you will automatically have more money you owe your college for your education.
