Does working at mcdonalds suck?

A job is a job, and it will suck if you let it. You can be happy no matter where you work as long as you make the most of it and take pride in whatever you do. By the way I know that some McDonald's managers make around 20.00 per hour....

When I was a teenager, it was the best job ever!  Everyone had fun together, met a lot of good friends.  Even as a teen, I had advancement opportunities, I was a shift manager at 16 years old (I started at 14 1/2 on a work permit).  They did have great programs that offered to pay for college and I even got some scholarships through McDonalds.  As with any job though, you have to go into it with a positive attitude!!  It will be work, but I thought it was fun work!

Its fast food. What can you expect. Also, I am sure McD's gets rather busy. Everybody seems to be very friendly though, when I go through the drive thru, so it appears that is not that bad...

If one decides his/her fate by the answers given to the McDonalds question, I can see where America's future is questionable. Regardless where one starts, success is measured by the work ethic developed by the person. McD's has given a multitude of the present generation executives their start in the work place. So don't knock it. Most lazy people do.

h***s yea. when have you ever seen a mcdonalds employee driving a nice car(not leased)? plus working with people and their food is the absoloute worst. picky customers would make you want to go insane, right?

A job is what you make it.  I am a manager at McDonald's and no I don't make anywhere near 20 an hour, I love my job. Yes, some days suck but other days are just wonderful.  But really you'll get that anywhere you work.

I would expect so. in fast food, you cant ever stand still. they want you to always be doing something, even if its cleaning something you already cleaned.

however, certain mcdonalds give money for educuation if you work there part time at least.  might as well!

yes it does.  no matter what position you are at, you will smell like grease
