Does working multiple jobs affect what you have to pay in taxes in any way?

My example working 3 jobs,

1st - sat/sun 16 hours per week (short hour)

2nd - per diem status - 16 hours estimate per week

3rd - per diem status - 20 hours estimate per week

(jobs 2/3 basically working as needed monday-friday)

  2. Yes and no.  Your tax will be the same as if you made the same amount of money total from just one job.  But your withholding will very likely not be enough to cover what you owe, since they withhold at each job like that was your only job.

  3. well, the amount of tax you will owe will not change just because you have more than one employer. That will be fixed. However, depending on how you filled out your w-4's for each job you may not be paying enough income tax. Nothing to worry about just fill out new w-4's and if you have to pay next year then you still did not have enough withheld.

    but no...you wont be taxed any more just becuse you have multiple jobs.

  4. Yes, it can. This is because your combined income may put you in a higher tax bracket and your withholding on the separate jobs may be based on a lower bracket.

  5. You should be sure to claim S-0 on all the jobs and may actually have to have additional income tax withheld because when all are added together it puts you into a higher tax bracket.
