  1. personally i think it makes it more interesting.

A quote I like is "You can add life to days, but you cant add days to life."

    or the other way around.

  2. as long as you don't get too creative it's still acceptable.

  3. It doesn't change the value of paper money, but it is illegal.  This is straight from the horses mouth: (The Bureau of Engraving and Printing)

    "Defacement of Currency

Defacement of currency is a violation of Title 18, Section 333 of the United States Code. Under this provision, currency defacement is generally defined as follows: Whoever mutilates, cuts, disfigures, perforates, unites or cements together, or does any other thing to any bank bill, draft, note, or other evidence of debt issued by any national banking association, Federal Reserve Bank, or Federal Reserve System, with intent to render such item(s) unfit to be reissued, shall be fined not more than $100 or imprisoned not more than six months, or both.

Defacement of currency in such a way that it is made unfit for circulation comes under the jurisdiction of the United States Secret Service. Their mailing address is:

    United States Secret Service

    950 H Street, NW

    Washington, DC 20223.

The United States Secret Service web address is http://www.secretservice.gov. "

So if you decide that it is okay to write on money, you may get a visit from the US Government Secret Service. I guess it's up to you if writing "Have a good day" on money is worth risking having a Government hammer brought down on your head.

  4. Defacing currency is illegal.

  5. i dont really think so cause i once saw this magic trick that includes cutting a slit into the bill.

  6. its not illegal i use money all the time with little doodles of stuff no trouble.

and for the quotes.........Give me to Charity?

  7. my mom always spends money that has little marks and writing on it...

  8. no because the actual dollar doesnt have any value to it is just a regular piece of paper, the piece of paper that yu call money just represents a piece of gold that is located in the nations capitol. so the dollar really doesnt mean anything its the piece of gold that backs it up and holds the value.

  9. i think it may technically be illegal, maybe defacing government issued property or some such law, but everyone does it and its not a big deal. it certainly doesnt change the value of money.

  10. i am pretty sure it's illegal, u could prolly right on them small and nothin would happen but u never no...Hope i helped!!

  11. i dont think i changes the value.  i get dollar bills with writing on it and pay for stuff with it and the stores allow it
